Get tricked into sharing personal information for fake rewards or prizes.
Example of a message from a scammer informing you that you have won a cash reward/cashback.
The scammer will claim to be from a well-known organisation and inform you that you have won a cash reward/cashback/prizes.
The scammer may send you a text/email that contains a link for you to click or a number for you to call to claim the cash reward/cashback/prizes.
The link that the scammer has sent to you might direct you to a fake website that will harvest your bank login details.
Do not reveal sensitive banking details such as your IC, PIN number, username or password over phone/messaging apps.
Remain calm. Do not immediately transfer funds to another account/recipient.
Be cautious about clicking on any links or calling the number via email, text messages or any other messaging apps.
Always contact official sources to verify any information that you received.
